Aquatic Staff
The Englehart Lee Pool Aquatic Team consists of:
- Head Lifeguard/Aquatic Supervisor
- Senior Lifguards/Instructors
- Junior Lifeguards
All aquatic staff are qualified instructors. In addition to those awards, staff have various training and certifications such as:
- WHMIS training/education
- Standard First Aid
- CPR 'C' training/certification
Although junior guards have completed all levels of the advanced lifesaving courses, they cannot be fully qualified until they are 16 years of age. Volunteering their time, they assist swimming instructors with lessons and learn about the maintenance and operations of the pool.
Ongoing training and continuing education is a priority to staff and all certifications must be updated biennially (every two years).
We make every effort to be fully educated on the most advanced aquatics program skills, procedures and methods, striving to provide high quality programs to all.

In 2011, the Town of Englehart received $4,600 from the Ontario Trillium Foundation over six months to purchase mats which have allowed for more recreation programs to be delivered at the fitness facility located within the arena complex. This also allowed the installation of easy access steps at the Lee Pool improving access to this seasonal outdoor facility for all persons, especially seniors and citizens with mobility issues.
