Recreation Services & Facilities
The community spirit of Englehart is evident by the level of involvement in the recreation program. In addition to its other attractions, the town is also home to an outdoor track as well as the outdoor facilities outlined below.
Frequently maintained by the Public Works Department, our soccer fields, outdoor volleyball court and baseball diamonds are all located between the Englehart Public School and the Holy Family School on Eighth Ave. The baseball diamonds host T-Ball, Minor Baseball and Adult Mixed Slo-Pitch. The soccer fields host Minor Soccer.
The Recreation Department of the Town of Englehart would like to acknowledge the generous donation made by "Hydro One Networks Inc. Power Play Program" that made it possible for the installation of the fencing at Base Ball Field #2. We invite you to stop by our local ball fields to take in a game of two.
The Tennis Courts are located on Fifth Avenue. You will find that during their open season, the gate is kept unlocked. Please be sure to close the gate before leaving the court.
The Recreation Committee as a subcommittee to the Town Council, provides direction for the coordination of recreation programs, activities and facility use. The Recreation Committee meets at 6:30pm every fourth Tuesday of the month at the Englehart and Area Community Complex, upstairs in the boardroom.
